HIV Little Stars
The Little Stars project team’s goal is to empower and build confidence among the HIV+ children in Andimadam’s Little Stars support group. We advocate for healthy living habits to ensure regular HIV medication consumption and work to introduce the basic science of HIV to the children through interactive games and curriculums.

Goals
Our goal for this year is to implement a fun system that encourages medication consumption as we have found that children can easily forget about their pill tracker. Thus far, we have created an introductory video to introduce the children to our team members. Through this, we have established a sense of familiarity, which is something that we can build off of when we go to visit Andimadam this summer. After fostering a sense of community with our town members in Andimadam, in the future we also hope to assist them in finding possible career paths and introduce them to a routine set of self-reflection and/or meditation practices.

Past Projects
In the past, we have worked on a series of presentations about HIV that further educated them on the disease. These presentations discuss the ways to contract HIV, different medications to assist with the symptoms, and therapy to assist with the social and mental impacts of their disease.
Additionally, we have established a pill tracker, through which children could build on their core skills, including accountability and responsibility, while staying consistent in taking their medication to maintain their health and wellbeing and to prevent transmission.
